Sendai FRANCA's inagural meeting had 16 people gathering in Sendai's Fukushi Plaza to listen to Debito Arudou explain the background and goals for FRANCA, the Foreign Residents and Naturalized Citizens Association.

Audience members kept the presenter on his toes with some tough questions, and the session finished with a decision to create a mailing list, recruit more members, and discuss the next step for the group.
